About The Event
You’ve worked hard to grow some beautiful produce all summer, now how do you keep that produce around all through the winter? That’s where preserving comes in! There are many ways of preserving food, some of which have been around for thousands of years. In this workshop, you will learn about the basics of these food preservation techniques. We will cover an intro on canning, drying, fermenting, freezing, and confit methods.
This workshop is part of the Culinary & Nutrition track of Growing Gardeners. Growing Gardeners is a collaborative education program ran by The Big Garden and City Sprouts in Omaha, Nebraska.
This online workshop is free, but donations are encouraged to contribute to the cost of supplies and resources!
