About The Event

Using native plants in the landscape is a powerful way to help support our local urban ecosystem and a healthier planet. Join us as we cover all the basics with lots of practical tips to help you get started in your own backyard!

From supporting wildlife to using fewer chemicals and other resources, learn about the benefits of choosing native plants. With Ethan Anderson of Mulhall’s Garden + Home, we’ll discuss some of our favorite native plants and how to go about adding them to your garden or converting portions of your lawn into new native plantings.

This workshop is part of the Urban Ag School track of Growing Gardeners, in partnership with Mulhall’s. Growing Gardeners is a collaborative education program offered by The Big Garden and City Sprouts in Omaha, Nebraska.

This online workshop is free, but donations are encouraged to contribute to the cost of supplies and resources!
